The Hétszőlő estate could hardly be more venerable, dating as it does all the way back to 1502. Today, it belongs to Michel Reybier, best known as the owner of the great Bordeaux property, Château Cos d'Estournel. As you might expect, the quality is outstanding across the board. This Aszú is an extraordinary wine, lusciously sweet but balanced by brisk acidity that cuts right through and keeps it refreshing. It gathers increasing complexity with bottle age, becoming one of the world's most multi-dimensional, long-lived wines.
